Composer Require Gives Error in All Versions

Problem/Motivation

composer require 'drupal/field_defaults:^1.3' giving me error Root composer.json requires drupal/field_defaults, it could not be found in any version, there may be a typo in the package name. Same with all versions. Not sure why

    I tried to reproduce this problem on different versions of Drupal. The module installs without any errors.
    I think that the reason for the error that the user encountered was not compatible with the version of the module with the version of Drupal.
