Problem/Motivation

Our Site, running since since 2021, has extensive use of webforms and views. after yesterdays update from 9.5.3 to 9.5.4 one form stopped to load. Editing/disabling components revealed that the source was in tables. We recreated the table - it worked. we changed sort order on the creation date field to 'descending' and the problem reoccured

Steps to reproduce

  • Create a View from Webform Submissions
  • Include the creation date
  • select table display and creation date field as standard sort order

It works. Admins preview underneath is filled with content

  • now change the sort order of the field to 'descending'

Admins preview is empty. Users receive an error message.

The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.

Proposed resolution

Differences from 9.5.3 to 9.5.4 to be investigated. In the meantime, disable 'descending'.

Remaining tasks

Fix needed, appearently no workaround possible.

    Hello
Thanks for your reply. I did further investigations last night. Isolation showed that most recent submissions didn't appear at all, raising the same error. According the submission date I was able to identify the date after which the error occured. It was the time when I installed and tested the flag module - which unfortunately didn't let being uninstalled as there were six flagged submissions in place and it was not possible to delete them (AJAX-http-error 200). I had to remove these six flags from the database, then removed the flag filter criteria from the view, disabled the module (4.0@beta, installed via composer). Now sorting works as before - ascending and descending.
Is there a way to route this notice to the flag module tracker queue? Does it even make sense, as there is no debug data available anymore?
    Kind regards, Daniel

    Thanks for reporting back.

Yes we can move this to the flag queue, done. Indeed not sure what they can do, be at least it will be in the correct queue. I would also advise searching the flag queue for similar problems when installing the module.
