What's your library version? Try sticking to the requirements. Be sure to read it well at project home.
To help better please screenshot your formatter and optionset forms, including sub-forms if breakpoints.
Many times unfamiliarity and confusions cause the basic issues.
If unsure and or still an issue, always start with the Slick samples.
