Revisit MN Idea with D10?

Managing News was one of the first Drupal Distributions I every played around with. I learnt a lot about Drupal from taking it apart. It was also very well received when we set it up for a researcher who was aggregating and scraping political news for geotagging, which was later used for sentiment analysis of tweets about local politicians (circa 2013).

Recently I discoved TorontoVerse and the memories of MN came back.

I wonder, is there any interest in the community to revisit the idea of MN for modern Drupal?

I'm open to ideas - my general inclination is to set the following criteria as a litmus test:

1. I have 5-10 hours per week that I can dedicate to this project.
2. I can dedicate time to work on this project for the next 8-12 months.
3. I agree that the distribution created would be released as open source.
4. I agree that this is a passion-project/side project that may never lead to money/payment.
