Problem/Motivation

📌 Automated Drupal 10 compatibility fixes Fixed includes the removal of support for Drupal 8. We can take the opportunity to switch to semantic versioning → by creating a new branch where we commit those changes before release and leave the existing 8.x-1.x-dev branch intact.

Proposed resolution

  1. Create 2.x branch.
  2. Commit relevant changes from 📌 Automated Drupal 10 compatibility fixes Fixed .
  3. Create new release for 2.0.0 (beta?).
