I have the need to restrict access to a simple page to a set of Drupal roles. Currently I can only restrict it to one role.
Access by role should work in the same manner as it does for views and blocks.
Additionally user 1 should bypass any access controls and be able to view any simple page. Currently I can edit the layout of a simple page but not actually view it if access is restricted to any role but 'authenticated'.
As user 1 edit any simple page and open the access settings field group. Choose access type of 'role'. Roles are displayed in a radio control, you can only choose one.
Choose a role other than 'Authenticated' and save. Try to view the page. Access will be denied.
