grouping and hierarchy

Problem/Motivation

One on site I have a large taxonomy vocabulary with a hierarchy. It goes 3 layers deep. If I use grouping within the grouping settings of the jump menu I'm getting a drop down menu for each term that has a parent term. Which looks very confusing.

There is basically no way to show hierarchy within the jump menu.

Steps to reproduce

Taxonomy term: Name
(Parent) Taxonomy term: Name

Use (Parent) Taxonomy term: Name for Grouping

Proposed resolution

Grouping within the dropdown would be nice. Using for example a - in front of a child taxonomy term

I second that this would be a nice functionality for this module. The grouping that duplicates the drop down menu does not provide much. I have created a patch that has an approach to make grouping as hierarchical options instead.
