- Issue created by @dabley
These days, users increasingly expect that when they click on an image, they will be taken to some other relevant resource - maybe a larger version of the image, or a page with further information related to the image. Currently, with the Image Slider, clicking on an image does nothing (except when you click in a small area reserved for image navigation, in which case you get taken to another image in the set).
It would be good if, when a user clicks on an image, they could be taken to some other relevant page. In some cases we might want to always take the user to the same page. In other cases, we might want to take the user to a different page depending on the image they clicked on.
When editing a slider, I would like there to be a new field where a URL for the slider overall can be entered, and a new field where a URL can be entered for each image individually.
When the slider is displayed, clicking on an image (outside the zones reserved for slide navigation) should take the user to the URL configured for the slider, or to the URL for the individual slide if that has been configured.
