Problem/Motivation

If I mark double field as "required field" it does not work - it allows me to save the content even it is blank.
-it works only for the second filed if the first one is populated. But if I let both fields empty it saves content with no values.

Does anyone experience the same issue?

    Hi,

Thank you for your test. I found out it does not work with combination of module Automatic Entity Label β†’

    Step to reproduce:

    1.Create new content type
    2.Add double field
    3.mark it as required

Create new node > double field is asked to be filled out as it is required /mandatory so it works as expected.

Now enable Automatic Entity Label (if not already enabled) and add automatic label in Structure > your content type where double field is > automatic labels > select Automatically generate the label and hide the label field > add any pattern (example : [node:nid])

Now it seems double field required field is not working. Once you hit save it will allow you to create new node no matter if double field is required or not.
It works fine for other fields which are marked as required. The problem only occurs with double field.

I am using Automatic Entity Label on every my content as this module is very useful, so is it possible to make any compatibility with required field ?

I just updated Automatic Entity Label to latest version 8.x-3.0 and it works now as expected.
