Uninstall does not work properly

Problem/Motivation

Uninstalling this module in D9.5 in the GUI does NOT uninstall all the co modules it also installed, and the database is then screwed up.

Steps to reproduce

Uninstall the module, and drush udb gives:
[error] (Currently using Missing or invalid modules The following modules are marked as installed in the core.extension
configuration, but they are missing:
* currency
* payment
* payment_form
* payment_reference
* plugin
