I wanted to see whether the module works with the php date output from the smart_date module and installed it. Trying to configure the module terminates with "The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later":

Install the module with composer on drupal 9.4.9 on latest wodby stack with PHP Version 8.1.13 and 10.9.4-MariaDB.
Try to load /admin/config/regional/intl-date-time
Perhaps some adaptation to PHP version 8.1 is necessary?

Thanks for looking into that. I am now on D9.5.2 with PHP 8.1.14 and Smart Date RC1. Smart Date now functions as intended and even without the IntlDate module. I assume the processing of the locale now works, whatever update(s) may have helped, those of Smart Date, and/or PHP, and/or Drupal Core. So I guess my report did actually not even concern your project, in which case I apologize for the noise.
