Log when / why server can not be reached when setting up

Problem/Motivation

I am trying to set this up on a shared hosting and sadly drupal / module can not reach the server. My problem is that I do not know why. All it says is The connection to the server could not be established.

It would be handy to log / show user why the server could not be reached, because when trying to reach from within terminal it works with command curl -X GET 'http://c-meilisearch:7700/indexes?limit=3';

At this point I am stuck and can not debug what happens. Logging why the connection can not be established (error code or something) would be incredibly handy.
