Make new release compatible with latest Drupal (inc trash workflow) that does not do non-edit workflow before ready

Adding 📌 Automated Drupal 10 compatibility fixes Fixed as related, since "new release compatible with latest Drupal" should include D10-compatibility (and the related issue, while closed, has not been incorporated into an official release).

I think if the documentation in the related ticket I just added is good enough, this will can be closed in favor of the relate Meta ticket.
