Card fields missing

My Drupal build has got itself into a state where the following message is displayed in the status report,

Mismatched entity and/or field definitions
The following changes were detected in the entity type and field definitions.
Payment method
The Card type field needs to be installed.
The Card number field needs to be installed.
The Card expiration month field needs to be installed.
The Card expiration year field needs to be installed.

No payment gateways I install can take credit card details, which I would expect is because of the above error.

So I can debug further, which module, or source file, should be defining those fields? I can't find them in the source.

@jsacksick Thanks, the code in #4 helped me, too. I ran it within drush php.

This can happen after uninstalling a payment module reusing fields from other payment method bundles (e.g commerce_paypal).

However, this has to be fixed either from the payment gateway defining the payment method type, or by addressing / fixing #3203352: Allow field storage definitions to be reused across bundles → .
