Project page doesn't mention there's a widget for select lists

Time and again I come back to this module because I need an "other" option for an existing select box. And then I'm once again disappointed that I cannot use this module because according to the project page it only provides:

* a Field widget for (auto create) Entity reference fields.
* a Forms API element for developers

Only today after many years I found out that's incorrect. There is in fact a widget for select lists. Exactly what I needed and expected when searching for such a module. Why isn't this mentioned anywhere on the project page? This is in my opinion the most important feature! I almost never want to create a complicated taxonomy, entity references or let the user auto-create anything. I just want to retrofit an existing select list with an "other" option. I always thought that this is impossible to do with this module. In fact it is very easy. Another bullet point "* an alternative Field widget for existing select lists" should be added there.
