More broadly, clicking the /cookiebot-renew link only works when cookies are accepted. If they are disabled I get sent to the /cookiebot-renew page which is a 404.
On the cookie declaration one doesn't want to see the cookiebot popup but it should still work when clicking on a link to the cookie settings popup.
When disabling cookiebot in the settings page, one can no longer use the cookiebot-renew feature.
From the documentation:
Cookiebot renew
To allow users to change cookiebot settings, you can add a menu link with URL "/cookiebot-renew" or a link anywhere with a class cookiebot-renew.The Cookiebot interface will show on click.
- Install and enable cookiebot
- Create a page /cookies with a link
Configure cookiebot →
- Disable cookiebot on /cookies
- Go to /cookies and click on "Configure cookiebot"
There's a difference between disabling Cookiebot (the automatic popup) and disabling all Javascripts (that support the cookiebot settings popup).
