I enabled the module after applying the patch for Undefined getFieldDefinitions() and I am getting the Status Field as something the anonymous user can modify instead of it being hidden.
Apply the patch on 9.5 Beta 2 as mentioned above and hit the register screen. If you disable the module it goes away, reenable and it comes back.
