Since we are doing continuous maintenance for our Drupal sites it is recommended to upgrade our Drupal core to the latest to adopt new features/bug fixes and security fixes.
We are trying to upgrade our core version from 9.3.18 to 9.4.7 and we are getting below errors.
Problem 1
- Root composer.json requires drupal/core-recommended 9.4.7 -> satisfiable by drupal/core-recommended[9.4.7].
- drupal/better_normalizers 1.0.0-beta5 requires drupal/hal * -> satisfiable by drupal/core[8.0.0-beta6, ..., 8.9.x-dev, 9.0.0-alpha1, ..., 9.4.3, 10.0.0-alpha1, ..., 10.1.x-dev].
- You can only install one version of a package, so only one of these can be installed: drupal/core[9.3.0-alpha1, ..., 9.5.x-dev].
- srijanone/ezcontent 2.1.2 requires drupal/better_normalizers ^1.0@beta -> satisfiable by drupal/better_normalizers[1.0.0-beta5].
- drupal/core-recommended 9.4.7 requires drupal/core 9.4.7 -> satisfiable by drupal/core[9.4.7].
- srijanone/ezcontent is locked to version 2.1.2 and an update of this package was not requested.
So the problem is with the better_normalizer package coming from Ezcontent profile and it seems is not compatible with Drupal core 9.4.7 version.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I didn't have HAL in my dependencies but ran into the same issue installing this on Drupal 10.1.
After running composer require cweagans/composer-patches, I removed composer.lock and then ran composer require srijanone/ezcontent:^2.2.5 and installation succeeded.
Adding this info in case someone else runs into the same issue.
