PHP 8 support

Problem 1 - drupal/entity_merge dev-2.x requires php ^7.1 -> your php version (8.0.23) does not satisfy that requirement. - drupal/entity_merge 2.x-dev is an alias of drupal/entity_merge dev-2.x and thus requires it to be installed too.

This is valid, though note that it is substantially the same but not as aggressive in removing support for older versions of Drupal as the 3.0.x and 4.x branches (which no one can find, see 📌 Make a release of the 3.0.x and/or 4.x dev branch and list it on the module page so it is easily discoverable that there is support for Drupal 10 Active )
