getRouteObject can return null or The route object NULL if no route is matched

When Drush sapi-i, it keeps indexing the contests and it fails at some point.
I keep getting the following error:

Unable to decode output into JSON: Syntax error

Error: Call to a member function hasOption() on null in Drupal\facets\Plugin\facets\facet_source\SearchApiDisplay->fillFacetsWit
hResults() (line 198 of /var/www/html/docroot/modules/contrib/facets/src/Plugin/facets/facet_source/SearchApiDisplay.php).

I was able to fix this issue by wrapping it with if condition.
