Migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9/10.

Problem/Motivation

We are going to migrate our site from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 or possibily 10. The site was initially built in 2015 and this module was installed and working since day one. So there has been a lot uploaded most of them are important documents (pdfs and docxs). As now we are going to revamp the site in latest Drupal versions, we are worried how we can migrate all of the documents data to Drupal 9 or 10 in this module? Yes the directory of this module on the current server can simply be zipped and placed into the same directory on Drupal 9 but how will the database related things go? How will this module list of the files from that folder in the same directory structure as it has been doing on Drupal 7 site.
