Custom source help text and behaviour is confusing

Problem/Motivation

When creating a new CSV column source or a new black source on the mapping form, help for CSV would say 'Enter the exact CSV column name. This is case-sensitive.', when the user starts to fill in this field the name entered appears below , lower-cased and using a machine name widget. Also when the form is saved, the source is represented like NAME(name) if "NAME" was entered for the custom source.

This behaviour is confusing as user familiar with machine name widget would expect the lower cased "name" to be used, but instead, upper cased (in this example ) name is used . Practically the name will be what the user enters as per description of the CSV source. Blank source help doesn't mention machine name at all.

Steps to reproduce

  • Create a new feed type with any parser
  • Create a custom blank source on a mapping form using some capital letters
  • Open "Custom sources" tab and confirm that value column is using original capitalisation from the previous step
