Not working with a search index view

Problem/Motivation

I'm trying to use this module on a Search API view. But the alternate option is not getting available. Are there more people with this problem or do I miss something?

Steps to reproduce

Create a view with a search index instead of just content. Try to switch to an alternate view mode.

    Can confirm that "Content (alternate)" is an option for a Content view, but "Rendered entity" and "Fields" are the only options for an Index Content (Search API powered) view. As this ability to have the same view with different view modes is most important when there are facets (otherwise sticking two different displays of the same view on a page is a manageable workaround), would hugely appreciate support on whether this is fairly classified as a bug report, or a feature request, and how far from accomplishing this Views Parity Row might be— would it might as well have to be a different module entirely handling this for Search API views?
