Path gets an extra language code prepended to it on each export and this somehow overwrites the menus

I really don't have time to spend much time debugging this, and I'll be uninstalling it as soon as I finish submitting this so I'm afraid I can't be of much help further debugging it, but I noticed, just a bit too late, that with every reexport of a taxonomy term an extra language code gets prepended to the URL

E.G.
Before

  path: /en/en/taxonomy/term/5587

After;

  path: /en/en/en/taxonomy/term/5587

I noticed this right after I imported the new taxonomy terms to my test server. Somehow this ended up overwriting one of the menus, and hopefully didn't do too much more damage, but this module does not seem to be safe for use in production.
