When recently browsing for a replacement for Better Formats, I initially dismissed Allowed Formats as it did not appear to offer the features that I was looking for. It was only after drilling down some way in the issue queue that I discovered that these features are indeed present.
The features in question are:
* Ability to hide the "About text formats" link.
* Ability to hide the condensed text format guidelines.
