Dates as exposed Views filters throw exceptions if incorrect date

Problem/Motivation

Get this error if an incorrect date is entered into an exposed views filter of birth date:

Steps to reproduce

Create a View with Contact as the base table. Add the birth date as an exposed filter. Then test the View by putting in some date format that Drupal\Component\Datetime\DateTimePlus can't handle such as "1234".
