We are upgrading our site to D9 and eventually the paragraphs module also upgraded from 8.x-1.2 to 8.x-1.4 version. After this version upgrade the text split feature was not working and while debugging we found that text split. plugin.js is required this specific class "paragraph-type-add-modal-delta" is required in paragraphs modal form.
Here attaching a patch to add the same hidden field in paragraphs module to make the text split feature working as aa temporary workaround.
But we might need to re-look the implementation of text split feature to adopt the newer changes from latest paragraphs.

I came up with a temporal solution that works for me, I'm attaching the patch just in case it helps/works for someone else.
