When I want to add a new attribute > it tries to display all vocabulary and taxonomy list. In my case more then 1000 taxonomies which has loading performance impact. I would suggest to select vocabulary only and maybe in next step taxonomy if needed, or remove that completely. Or change it to autocomplete instead.
