Content Access provides the very useful Grant / Revoke access to / from user / role action to the Rules module. Unfortunately the development of the Rules module appears to be stuck on some key points (such as loops). There is, however, a very promising alternative to Rules, the ECA (Event-Condition-Action) module, which is under heavy development ( https://www.drupal.org/project/eca → ). It would be great if someone with a deeper understanding of Content Access (and ECA) could expose these actions to ECA.
