I'm using a core Date Range field, and am looking for a better UI.
The 'Smart Date, date-only range' widget is a big improvement, but it uses the mm/dd/yyyy format for entering dates. I'm hoping to standardise our site on the dd/mm/yyyy format.
Is there any way I can change the date format the widget uses, either via a setting or in code?

I know this is an old issue, but did you ever find a fix for this?
I have the same problem, the smart date input field is in mm-dd-yyyy format but it outputs as dd-mm-yy, the later being what is desired. There doesn't seem to be an option in the field display to change it, and we don't use mm-dd-yyyy here.
