Can't unattach an export from a view display

Steps to Reproduce

Trying to create a dynamic export based on exposed filters selected in a view like we have in d7.

Create a View Block with exposed filters. Exposed form in block: Yes. Add View Block and Exposed Form Block to Panel Page. Create a data export with the same fields and same exposed filters. Attach the export to the display. Set export path to my-export and filename [date:long].csv nothing else is checked.

1. (may be separate issue) When using the exposed filters on the view and clicking apply, the export just downloads without the exposed filters being applied to the view or the export.

2. (primary issue) Then when deselected the view for which the data export is attached, the csv button goes away but the export continues to be attached and downloads when trying to use the exposed filters on the view.

Had to delete the data export to detach it from the view display.

    For issue 2 that would be really weird. We are 'asked' by the core Views module to attach ourselves to the display, so once you've deselected and saved the view, our VDE displays should no longer get attached, and thus the icons shouldn't show etc.

    I'm going to assume that you solved you problem, so sorry for the lack of response until now, all the best.

    Thanks for the reply :) This was quite a while ago because we switched to layout builder from panels. We ended up creating static exports -1 year, -6 months, -3 months and -1 month and this seems to have worked because no complaints from users.

    These are webform submissions fields in views, which it may be a webform issue. I'll try working on this display again at some point to see if anything has changed.
