Issues when updating from RNG 1.7

I noticed the following issues after updating a site from RNG 1.x to RNG 3.x:

The status report page reports that field 'Confirmed' misses on the registrant entity.
rng_update_8205() runs out of memory. Also, it deletes registrants for no reason.

Update a D8 site to D9 with RNG installed on it.

For the 'Confirmed' issue, add a line to install field storage for the entity type 'registrant' in rng_update_8203()
Replace rng_update_8205() with a post update.
