Problem/Motivation

FLoC has been abandoned (to be replaced with Topics API)

Since Chrome is the only browser that intended to implement, and is no longer going to, it should be safe to modify existing config for sites in an update.

Proposed resolution

  • Remove from default configuration
  • Move interest-cohort to a deprecated section in the PermissionsPolicy class
  • Remove interest-cohort option from config form
  • Apply an update to remove interest-cohort from existing config
