I have installed v 2.0.x-dev, but the configuration is still not persistent.
(I have emptied cache and run update.php before this post.)
The form used to import users have a number of settings.
These are reset to the defaults every time the form is loaded.
There should a button "Save configuration" to save these to the database, to avoid having to re-enter them when re-using the form.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
