Autoplay and transition style for slideshow

Is it planned to add an autoplay option to the Slideshow paragraph?

I was picturing using that paragraph as a slider, so it would need options such as:
- interval timer (in/out)
- transition styles (in/out) (fade, slide, others)
I'm thinking there could be a general option set in the Slideshow paragraph and individual options set in Slideshow sections, which would override the general option for that individual paragraph.

then adding text-animations (drop-in/out, fade-in/out, etc.) to the Hero paragraph, and presto!
a simple but flexible Drupal slider solution :-)
