Drupal 8.9.20 upgrading to Drupal 9.
I have the FullCalendar module 8.x-1.0-alpha3 installed currently. I've updated all my other modules to the latest Drupal 8/9 compatible versions while using Drupal 8.9.20 core and had it tested. It's only when I update to Drupal 9 (manual and not using composer/drursh) afterwards that I receive the following message.
"INCOMPATIBLE MODULE
The following module is installed, but it is incompatible with Drupal 9.3.2:
FullCalendar Options
FullCalendar Legend
Review the suggestions for resolving this incompatibility to repair your installation, and then re-run update.php."
I added "core_version_requirement: ^8 || ^9" to the info.yml files in the submodules and re-ran update.php without an issue. I've read elsewhere that this line is recommended or required when troubleshooting modules that are supposed to be compatible with Drupal 8 and 9.
Is this the wrong way of getting this module to work with Drupal 9? TIA.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I've volunteered to help clean up the FullCalendar issue queue. As part of that effort I'm closing issues open for unsupported versions of the module as "Closed (outdated)".
If this issue is still relevant for version 3.x of FullCalendar, then feel free to re-open it and update the issue version number.
