I'm not sure that's the role of this module.
I think the migrate_tools module does that.
It'd be great if we had admin UI with a list of migrations, their statuses, last imported timestamp (ref https://www.drupal.org/project/migrate_cron/issues/3252332 → ), buttons for resetting migrations stuck in Importing state, etc.
Add a simple status page.
