Having multiple Analytics modules are unnecessary and causes a loss of productivity for both modules. The framework of this module is really good, so it'd be beneficial for these changes to be brought into the official Google Analytics module.
Google has become more involved with their 3rd party integrations, and they also have a desire to lower the amount of different modules that can come into conflict with each other on a site.
Add Gapple as a co-maintainer for Google Analytics, and integrate more of his architecture into the 4.x version of the google analytics module
Create a migration path for those using ga to use the mainstream google_analytics module instead.
