Context groups → has been automatically opened to new maintainer applications, as it will otherwise become unsupported with the end of life of Drupal 8 on 2 Nov, 2021.
This is an adaptation of our existing process for transferring project maintainership → .

After the standard 14-day waiting period from this issue being opened, if an existing maintainer has not closed it, this project is eligible for new maintainers, without necessarily waiting for existing maintainers’ approval.

Next steps:

  • An existing maintainer may close this issue and opt out of this accelerated process.
  • A prospective new maintainer can take this issue after the 14 day window has
    elapsed and take the following steps to be added as a maintainer:
    • Comment here explaining why you would like to maintain the module.
    • If the project is opted in to security coverage, confirm that you have previously received security coverage opt-in permission.
    • If an existing maintainer has not commented, move the issue to the Drupal.org Project Ownership queue, by editing the “Project” field on this issue.
  • The Drupal.org site moderators will review the issue, and if it meets the requirements can grant you maintainer access.

    I want to help maintaining this module, i use it regularly on my site building and it is a important key of it. I really like to turns it compatible with Drupal 10 and future versions.

    I use to test it regulary in order to fixed any warning or error, like https://www.drupal.org/project/context_groups/issues/3286758#comment-149... 📌 Automated Drupal 10 compatibility fixes Needs work .

    I've not previously received security coverage opt-in permission.

    I am closing this issue, since it has been created about three years ago, and no maintainer has been successfully added using this issue.

    The purpose of these automatically-created issues was to make easier to adopt a project which needed to be ported to Drupal 8, and accelerate the porting to Drupal 8, avoiding the project would become unsupported. Now that Drupal 8 is no longer supported, and projects without a release (or a development version) for supported Drupal versions are already marked unsupported, porting a project to Drupal 8 or higher versions is not a sufficient priority to appoint maintainers using an adaptation of the existing process for appointing new maintainers.
