There is has been no support for this since D7, and I am proposing to remove the non-working microdata code entirely.
It is known that the handling of "microdata" in fivestar is at best incomplete and likely quite broken. This needs to be fixed. However as yet we do not have a good definition of what 'working' is, which I encourage anyone to fill in here:

We also need a complete list of the existing bugs. I am not sure if it is necessary to make this a [META] issue, or whether they are trivial enough to deal with at once. Either way:
