This has been fixed in the latest 2.x release
There is still a deprecated method Drupal\user\Entity\User::getUsername() on
tfa_duo/src/Plugin/TfaValidation/TfaDuoValidation.php on line 81 on the latest dev version of this module.

Replace the deprecated method getUsername() with getDisplayName()
