Allow the target attribute to be selected in the link filter

Problem/Motivation

We have a use case to provide the extra rel attributes to anchor links, but we also want our target attribute to be set to allow external links to be opened in the current context (i.e. via _self).

Proposed resolution

  • Patch the module to allow this functionality.
  • Ensure that the standard behaviour is set by default to prevent breaking sites which are currently using the original feature set.
