I have searched for years for a great event system and in 2011 had a developer create a patch for Merci, an equipment booking system, to make it operate somewhat like an event system: added recurring items and room booking/room conflict checking. It has worked as a good bandaid for these past years but I am now searching for something for Drupal 8 and beyond. I am not sure if this module could work: we have about 40 rooms where events can takes place and there'd have to be a room/date check. Do you think this module could work and if not any chance of adding a conflict check?
