Animated Gifs

I'd like to display animated gifs. Normally this is a problem when using image styles. However, with the module https://www.drupal.org/project/animated_gif → , you can override image styles when the rendered images are gifs. This seems to work fine with the thumbnail images, however, the images rendered in the pop up still use the assigned image styles.

This is a support request to allow an option to use the original image, if the image is a gif.
