With the sunset of legacy google analytics, the 8.x-3.x module is now unsupported. If this is still an issue with the 4.x version, please file a new issue in the queue.
After uninstalling the module and running composer remove drupal/google_analytics, my site encounters 'an unexpected error'. Clearing cache via Drush throws this error
SplFileInfo::openFile(/var/www/html/web/modules/contrib/google_analytics/google_analytics.info.yml): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
FYI, I'm encountering this on a local ddev environment with Drupal 8.9.13.
