I have two signup forms for the same list on may pages of my website: One is in the footer of all pages, while the other displays higher up on pages with more content that require scrolling.
On the pages with two signup forms rendered, the one in the footer does not work properly on the first try: The placeholder text in the form field does not appear, and upon form submission the entered email address isn't successfully added to the list, nor does any message appear indicating success or failure. I don't see any errors in log or console.
But after submitting the form the first time, when the page reloads, the placeholder text appears and a second form submission is successful.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or how to fix it?
I think this was also an issue on the 8.x version as I previously noticed the placeholder text was sometimes missing. I can't imagine how many email addresses were entered and not actually added to my list over the past year.
