PHP 7.3 gives Warning on update.php

Problem/Motivation

When running the database upgrade process with /upgrade.php I get the following warning message, despite PHP 7.3 being one of the recommended versions.

Warning: "continue" targeting switch is equivalent to "break". Did you mean to use "continue 2"? in require_once() (line 341 of /home/lalg/www/dev/includes/module.inc).

Can one ignore this message, since it is 'Warning'?

Steps to reproduce

PHP 7.3
Drupal 7.77 (Not -dev as above)
Run /upgrade.php and click 'Continue' on the first screen

Messages displayed and the System Status Report are attached.
