Redesign Device View Tab

Problem/Motivation

The current design of the device view tab could be improved with a new design because the implemented design is very technical (for admins) and not very communicative for end-users. Information is hidden behind text and beside of that there is no visual language except of the button colors which don't have good color contrasts.

Proposed resolution

I have redesigned the view tab in a Figma file here:

Here are a few screenshots from the proposed redesign:

This has been open for a while. I know it'll be a lot of work, but are there any plans on implementing one of these designs? The current UI is functional, but not very usable.

Also a sidenote: I'm not seeing the local actions ('emergency mode', 'push configuration', 'push shedule', 'power action') in my UI (2.6.0-alpha1 and signageos 2.5.2).

We also have clients who would be happy to see better designs here, we just don't have the time and budget to get to it.

The local actions only appear when the Expose actions as local actions module is enabled. In the early days, this was a hard dependency, but has now been removed, since it got a bit verbose.
