I ran across a use case where a client would like PayPal Credit as an offering on checkout however they would not like PayPal Express Checkout. To resolve I would recommend rendering the PayPal Credit form independent of Express Checkout's "Show the PayPal Express Checkout button on the cart form" option. Currently the only way to display display PayPal Credit requires that Express Checkout also be an option.
