Every time I install this module on a project I remember there are API breaking changes 2.x to 3.x in the upstream package; we should add a conflict statement to a composer.json for this project and/or make this clearer, and/or roll a new release that is compatible with 3.x.
This is particularly true for chunking, which I'm working on at https://www.drupal.org/project/plupload_s3 →

Moxiecode Plupload is kind of abandoned project. I suggest we forget about 3.x branch and focus on their latest, super-stable, secure 2.3.9 release.
